У цій темі ти вивчиш загальні питання (Yes/No Questions) — найпростіший тип питань в англійській мові, на які можна відповісти "так" або "ні".

Допоміжне дієслово перед підметом:

Модальне дієслово перед підметом:


                                                Can you swim? Should we go?

1 Що таке загальні питання?

Yes/No Questions (загальні питання) — це питання, на які можна відповісти "так" або "ні":

Питання

Do you like tea?

Тобі подобається чай?

Відповідь "Так"

Yes, I do.

Так (подобається).

Відповідь "Ні"

No, I don't.

Ні (не подобається).

1 Present Simple — DO/DOES

У Present Simple використовуємо do (з I, you, we, they) або does (з he, she, it).

2 Past Simple — DID

У Past Simple використовуємо did з усіма особами. Основне дієслово залишається у базовій формі.

Вони приїхали вчасно?

3 Структура

Формула загального питання з do/does/did:

Do/Does/Did + Subject + Verb (base form) + ...?

Допоміжне + Підмет + Дієслово + ...?

📌 Основне дієслово завжди у базовій формі (без -s, -ed)!

3 Загальні питання з TO BE

1 Present Simple — AM/IS/ARE

З дієсловом to be у Present Simple просто міняємо місцями дієслово і підмет.

2 Past Simple — WAS/WERE

У Past Simple використовуємо was (з I, he, she, it) або were (з you, we, they).

3 Структура

Формула загального питання з to be:

Форма to be + Підмет + ...?

📌 Не потрібно додавати do/does/did з дієсловом to be!

1 CAN / COULD

З can/could (можу/міг би) ставимо модальне дієслово перед підметом.

1 HAVE GOT / HAS GOT

З have got (маю) робимо інверсію — ставимо have/has перед підметом.

2 HAVE / HAS (володіння)

У американському варіанті з have як основним дієсловом використовуємо do/does.
